The Fiscal and Academic Years of Southeast Arkansas College starts in July of each year and runs until June of the next year. Reports to the Arkansas Department of Higher Education are based on the July-June period — this is from the Summer Session, Second Term through the Summer Session, First Term of the next year.

The SSCH (Student Semester Credit Hour) is the total credit hours of a course multiplied times the total enrollment of the course. This enables the FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) to be calculated — a full-time student is considered to be taking 15 semester credit hours.

Southeast Arkansas College submits data to the Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE) four (4) times each year. This data consists of enrollment in eight (8) different semesters or terms. The basic semesters/terms are Fall, Spring, Summer I, and Summer II. However, each semester/term has an Off-Schedule enrollment which is students enrolled in courses that began after the reporting deadline to ADHE.

  1. Fall Semester includes the Summer Session-Second Term Off-Schedule and Fall semester enrollments.
  2. Spring Semester includes the Fall Off-Schedule and Spring semester enrollments.
  3. Summer Session, First Term includes Spring Off-Schedule, Summer Session-First Term, and Summer Session-First Term Off-Schedule semester enrollments.
