Educational Software

ATTENTION
NOTICE TO ALL SEARK STAFF AND FACULTY

EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2006
CHANGES IN THE MICROSOFT WORK AT HOME SOFTWARE LICENSING

Beginning March 1, 2006 staff and faculty of Southeast Arkansas College will no longer be allowed to install the Microsoft software on their personal computers and laptops. In addition, any staff and faculty that have installed any Microsoft software under the previous campus licenses will be asked to remove said software and document that to the College. This is due to the licensing changing significantly for work at home users and it is in the best interest of Southeast Arkansas College to no longer participate with Microsoft in this area.

The College will still use the new campus agreement software for all SEARK computers and student labs. This does not affect the use of Microsoft software on-campus.

All staff, faculty, and adjunct faculty who currently have a version installed from our old or current agreement(s) must un-install the software prior to March 1, 2006. Documentation of software removal should be sent to Jo Ann Dupra, Director of Information Technology.

Affidavit of Compliance for Southeast Arkansas College Employees: this should be reviewed by Southeast Arkansas College employees. When finished reviewing you must sign, date, and return the affidavit to Jo Ann Dupra , Director of Information Technology.

The Microsoft licensing for Southeast Arkansas College has never included, and does not include, any licensing options for students. Students must obtain their own software at their own expense.
