Angela Roby, Case Manager for Ambassadors for Christ Youth Ministries, Inc. and SEARK Alumni, was the keynote speaker at the September 26th SEARK College Lunch & Learn event.  Over 100 students, faculty and staff attended the event and were provided information about the growing crisis of Human Trafficking.  The audience was informed about the different kinds of human trafficking as well as provided information about what they can do if they suspect that someone is trapped in the dangerous cycle. Temeke Butler, SEARK College’s Counselor and Lunch and Learn coordinator, stated “the topic of human trafficking is an uncomfortable subject but it is one that needs to be discussed at the local level because it is happening in our city. Ambassadors for Christ Youth Ministries was formed in 2006 and provides services in Pine Bluff and Little Rock Arkansas.  Their purpose is to provide mentorship programs to at-risk, underprivileged, and displaced students through a multifaceted youth development program. Nationally AFC has provided an outlet and platform for growth to over 6500 at risk youth with partnerships through schools, churches, and community serving youth programs through the Houston, Texas area.  Pictures from the event can be foundhere.
