Kristen Cazer, a Radiologic Tech student from Dewitt, placed 3rd in the essay competition at the Arkansas Society of Radiologic Technologist State Convention.  Kristen was one of 30 essays in the competition.  Her topic “Living a Life of a Stone Man Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva” explored the issues when a minor injury causes your body to heal in a way that it slowly hardens and turns your body rock solid.

Kristen along with her fellow classmates from the SEARK School of Radiologic Technology recently attended the state convention where they participated in panel discussion and competed in both the essay contest and the quiz bowl competitions with schools from across the state.  Tina Pierce, Radiology Technology Coordinator, stated that “we came in 6th in the quiz bowl competition.  We are proud of our students and always enjoy the chance to interact with other schools.”
